Spicy beef recipe

OIL USES: Fry

INGREDIENTS

SERVINGS: 4
  • 1 lb. beef brisket steaks
  • 150 ml soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sherry vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 0.5 oz sugar
  • 2 tsp Tabasco
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • 4 tbsp GOYA® Robusto Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Toasted sesame seeds (to garnish)

PREPARATION

1
To prepare the beef, cut the steaks into approximately 1 cm strips and season with salt and pepper.
2
Place the beef strips in a bowl and add 1.5 fl oz of soy sauce, together with the chopped garlic and a teaspoon of Tabasco.
3
Cover with cling film and leave to marinate in the fridge for an hour. While the meat is marinating, prepare the sauce, vegetables and thickener.
4
To prepare the sauce, take a large bowl, mix the remaining soy sauce, sugar, sherry vinegar, the second teaspoon of Tabasco and set aside.
5
Now to prepare the vegetables. Wash and cut the peppers into 1 cm strips. Peel the onion and cut into julienne strips. Put to one side.
6
Next, to make a thickener for the sauce. mix a little water (approx. 1.5 fl oz) with the corn flour in a small glass and stir until it is diluted. Put to one side.
7
Take the beef out of the fridge, remove the meat from the marinade and set aside.
8
Pour a good splash of GOYA® Robusto Extra Virgin Olive Oil into a frying pan and when it is hot, sear the meat over very high heat. The idea is not to cook the meat, but to sear it so that it retains its juices, so as soon as it no longer looks raw, remove it and set aside.
9
Add a little more GOYA® Robusto Extra Virgin Olive Oil to the pan and sauté the chopped vegetables over medium-high heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
10
Next, add the beef, the sauce and the thickener and let it all cook together for 2 or 3 minutes longer. Remove from the heat, sprinkle a teaspoon of toasted sesame seeds on top and serve.
