Spinach with garbanzo beans

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp GOYA® Organics Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 0.25 tbsp Vera sweet paprika
  • 0.25 tsp ground cumin
  • 0.5 cup tomato sauce
  • 4 oz bread
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup cooked garbanzo beans
  • 0.99 tbsp vinegar
  • salt
  • black pepper

PREPARATION

First, rinse the cooked garbanzo beans to remove excess salt and put aside.

In a pan, add a glug of GOYA® Organics Extra Virgin Olive Oil and when it’s hot, add the peeled garlic and the bread in chunks to brown.

Next, blend the garlic and bread along with the paprika, cumin, white pepper, and tomato sauce in.

Add a tablespoon of vinegar diluted in a cup of water to the blender. When everything is blended, put aside.

Meanwhile, boil the spinach in a pan with boiling water and when it is white, drain the water and mix with the garbanzo beans.

Now add the garbanzo beans, spinach, and bread, garlic and spice mix to the pan.

Stir together for a few minutes so the flavors combine and add salt to taste. Serv and enjoy!
